How To Grow Orchids

How To Grow Orchids
By Sefi Jay

You could be questioning yourself often how to grow orchids, so let me give you some of advice. For one thing, orchids are attention seekers and will happily grow into a nice, healthy orchid so long as you let them bask in enough sunlight. Just make sure to do this because sooner or later it WILL bloom - beautifully!

So how much sunlight is enough sunlight?

Depending on the type of orchids you want to grow, it will either be easy or less easy to care for. A moderate amount to a high amount of sunlight is required for many orchids with thin leaves. The leaves tend to change into medium-green to light-green in color. For this result, it is totally normal.

What about watering the orchids?

Water temperatures should be at Luke-warm. Drenching the orchid isn't a bad thought, as long as the pot isn't overflowing. Make sure to keep the water level right beneath the rim of the pot. Only water and feed your orchids when the potting mix is hardly moist, because I discovered that most orchids don't prefer their feet always being wet.

How can you make the orchids comfortable with their surrounding?

It's better that the temperatures surrounding the orchids are between 60ºF and 85ºF. This temperature is just right because it allows the right amount of air movement around them. However, make it a priority not to leave orchids in a corner - its better to leave them on a window sill with a slightly open window.

So, I hope I have been of great help and thrust you to pursue becoming great at growing orchids. When you're applying these tips remember to have fun!! If you have read up to here then you probably want to know more.
